Ron Salsbury
Ron Salsbury has been Senior Pastor of New Life Community Church of the Nazarene in Pismo Beach, California since 1993. New Life is known for its vibrant worship, its growth (from 900 to over 2300 in average weekend attendance,) and its over two dozen ministries that help bridge between people who are inside and outside the church. As they are committed to “reaching the lost and making disciples,” 45% of their attendees have either accepted Christ or rededicated their lives to Him while attending New Life.
Prior to his leadership at New Life Church in Pismo Beach, Ron was the Senior Pastor of Lancaster New Life Church of the Nazarene in Lancaster, California for five years. Before that, he was an Associate Pastor at Los Angeles First Church of the Nazarene in downtown Los Angeles, California for eight years.
Ron graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1986 with a Master’s degree in Theology and was ordained by the Church of The Nazarene that same year.
During the 1970’s, Ron traveled with his Christian rock band called, “The J.C. Power Outlet,” and later, as part of the duo, “Pantano Salsbury.” Ron has recorded three albums and was elected to the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in 1972.
Ron is known for his passionate, practical and humorous style of teaching God’s Word.
Ron, and his wife Cathi, have two children named Jeff and Sara.
