NYC 2011 INFORMATION:
Dear Pastor and Youth Leaders:
On behalf of the Southern California District and General Church of the Nazarene. This is the start of a major journey leading up to NYC 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky from July 3-11.
Here on the website to the left, you will find applications and info for students and leaders. We are putting forms online this time to help save with the cost of mailing and also trying to be better stewards. Please read through all of the information and download forms to distribute. Within this packet you will see how the registration process will work, the cost, and hopefully a list of answers to the many questions that may arise concerning this important event.
Please distribute and advertise NYC ’11 to your church, students, and parents as soon as possible.
The application process is a little different this year, and all students will need to be pre-approved at the local church, then approved by our NYC Coordinating committee. After the approval process, the application will be forwarded to Kansas City, and a unique email link will be sent to each student to begin the online registration process. It is up to each church to determine how this can happen. Please call for ideas on how different churches may handle this. Once students are registered we will be forwarding information to them with their email address provided.
Sponsors will be chosen by the NYC committee along with the NYI council with priority given to youth pastors and spouses. A strict 8 to 1 student to leader ratio will be kept and we cannot guarantee that we can include every sponsor that wants to attend.
